Automotive Sales Consultant

Napleton Automotive Group is seeking Automotive Sales Consultants to join our growing team at our Autopark facility in Urbana, IL! Napleton Automotive Group has a team of professional Sales Trainers on staff, and is devoted to making our Sales Consultants successful.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers through a thorough buying process supported by established selling steps, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and relay a high level of product knowledge around vehicle features.
  • Demonstrate operation of vehicle in showroom and via test drive.
  • Provide new vehicle to customer through established delivery process, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction, loyalty and long term clientele.
  • Develop a prospecting system, making calls and sending emails to potential customers to set appointments.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years sales and customer service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required and clean driving record.

Automotive Service Advisor

Napleton Automotive Group is looking for a Service Advisor to join our growing team! The Service Advisor initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.

Job Duties:
Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Service Technician

Napleton's Auto Park of Urbana is seeking both entry-level and certified technicians to join our team! The service technicians perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and build customer loyalty. 

Job Duties Include:
  • Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty
  • Communicating with Parts Department and service advisers regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the customer 
  • Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
  • Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order form
  • Maintaining an inventory of normal technician's tools not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools"
  • Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate 
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
  • Other duties, as assigned

Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience as an automotive technician 
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on needs)
  • Attention to detail 
  • Organization and follow-up skills 
  • Valid in-state driver's license and acceptable, safe driving record
